Amber Nicole Cannan (She/Her, They/Them) is our founder, leader, muse, web designer, project manager, video talent, lesson and grant writer. She is a biomedical artist, science and art teacher and general community member. She serves as a board member at the SEE Science Center and is an actual exhibit at the same institution. She is mayor nominated by two mayors from two parties to the Manchester City Department of Public Works Commission with the sole purpose of saying the words “bike lanes,” “sidewalks,” and the oft villainized “bump-outs” and regularly supports initiatives through volunteering at The Nature Conservancy of New Hampshire.

Amber Nicole’s degree is in fine arts from the Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA), one of the top 5 art schools in North America. She has a strong background in science and anatomy from Case Western Reserve University and CIA’s Biomedical Art program. This scientific background helps her connect with “nontraditional” thinkers.

Melanie Watanabe (She/Her) is a video editor and graphic designer who is a recent graduate from the New Hampshire Institute of Art. She strives to provide a comfortable space for viewers through her video and print work. She wants her work to bring people joy, relief, representation, and an overall appreciation for art. She uses flat colors, geometric shapes, and typography most heavily in her work, preferring to stick to a limited color palette to give a clean look. She has been creating ever since she was a child, and will likely continue for the rest of her life. melaniewatanabe.com

My name is Seana McDuffie. I live in Southern New Hampshire and love movies, music, cartoons, traveling, and hanging with my two Puggles, Lex and Lea. I love to laugh and have a great time, and I can’t wait to learn alongside all of you.

Hi! My name is Austin (he/him/his) and I am an artist, entrepreneur, educator, husband, and father to a very spoiled French Bulldog named Ziggy. I have over 30 years of experience painting, 15 years experience in printmaking and photography, and am also proficient in digital design. I enjoy ceramics, hiking, art house films, and all genres of music. I am new to New Hampshire, I recently moved from Santa Barbara to be nearer to my Niece and Nephew so I could be around to enjoy them growing up. Family and community are very important to me and I hope to find my place in this community.

Emery (she/they) is a lead teacher, Unchartered’s Administrative Assistant and a mixed media artist . She explores various themes in her work, including disability and diversity, and belonging. In addition, she also enjoys creating silly, whimsical knick-knacks, with the sole-purpose of making someone smile.  She is adamant that all art, whether serious, or playful, plays a vital role in our ability to learn, grow, and connect with one another. Emery loves the freedom of combining whatever materials are at her disposal to make her vision come to life. As a recovering perfectionist Emery enjoys pushing herself to try new mediums and techniques, trying to allow space for “failures” and unexpected outcomes.
Emery is a mostly self-taught artist, receiving some formal training while obtaining her associates degree in General Studies. In addition to her work as an artist she has been involved in grassroots organizing since age 12 and continues to be a passionate advocate in her community by sharing stories and partnering with local organizations. As a wheelchair user, Emery is eager to create spaces that are accessible to everyone, no matter their abilities or needs, physical or otherwise. She can usually be found reading a good horror book, hyperfixating on yet another art project, or telling corny jokes. Like art, she believes that laughter is a way to connect with others and provide a sense of catharsis and joy. Emery looks forward to sharing her love of learning and the joy she’s  found in art with you!

My name is Lindy Snell (She/Her) and I’m a substitute teacher, paraprofessional and local musician! I enjoy crocheting, adventuring, journaling, and taking care of my gecko.

Felipe Raymundo Salas-Ogilvie (He/Him | They/Them) is a person dedicated to exploring his creativity in all things.
A passionate connector, he never hesitates to keep his community in mind regardless of the need or circumstance.
Using the age-old phrase “I know a guy” and adjusting it to “I know someone who does that” he is dedicated to seeing his community thrive.
Felipe is dedicated to fostering and strengthening the sense of wonder and magic in his students and community at large.
He can be found chasing his 2 dogs around the horse farm where he lives or spending time listening to podcasts while doing chores or cooking for friends and family.

Like most humans, John Shaver (he/him | they/them) is composed mostly of oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, calcium and phosphorus. With trace amounts of sulfur, potassium, sodium, chlorine and magnesium. However, recent research also indicates the presence of a large volume of the chemical compound C8H10N4O2,. more commonly known as caffeine, that comprises slightly less than 30% of his mass. This both refutes the speculation by some that he is, in fact, a muppet, while also providing a reasonable explanation for his eccentricities.

He is also a curious creative, and loves to share knowledge and experiences with people. A lifetime of pursuing almost anything that caught his eye has left him with knowledge of everything from metal working, woodworking, small engines, electronics, computer hardware and software, to painting, sculpting, drawing, writing and creating music. But, while arts and science and creativity in general are incredibly important to him, his true passion is for understanding people and finding ways to bring out the best in them, as well as himself.

Hi, I’m Donovan! (He/Him) I am currently getting my Master’s in Environmental Education at Antioch University after getting an undergraduate degree in Environmental Conservation and Sustainability at UNH. I am excited to join this group because I hope to grow as an artist, educator, and community member. I am passionate about Dungeons & Dragons, hiking, and discovering cool things about and within Nature.
