Description
Beautiful Motion Part 2
This is an in-person class for Auburn Village School Elementary students.
Didn’t take Part 1? No worries — jump right in!
Spinning, splattering, swirling: this class is all about the physics hiding inside motion. Students explore vortices, rotors, and stators, then get hands-on with paint, splatting and blopping their way to a real understanding of force and flow.
We’ll investigate questions like:
- What exactly is a vortex?
- Why would we ever want something to spin?
- What’s the difference between a rotor and a stator?
- Why does some paint splat while other paint just blops?
- Is a curve stronger than a straight line?
Expect a little mess, a lot of motion, and art that moves.
