    Watership = Water + Friendship!

    This is an in-person class for Auburn Village School Elementary students.

    What's your relationship to your local waterways?

    Every stream, puddle, and storm drain has a story to tell, and this fall we're going to learn how to read it. Over eight weeks, students become citizen scientists, tracking local flooding, testing the strength of water, and hunting for creatures too small to see with the naked eye.

    We'll investigate questions like:

    • Can everyday people help scientists track flooding?
    • How strong is water, really?
    • What is a tardigrade, and where do you find one?
    • Can you hunt cyanobacteria in a game?

    Muddy boots optional. Curiosity required.
